Transport/ Assist Travel:

Transport is an important part of freedom and independence, allowing you to see friends, get to work, and travel around town. The NDIS can provide you with funding to pay a support worker to drive you around or accompany you out into the community. This can include things like shopping trips, social events, or transport to medical appointments.

This funding is included in your plan as Assistance with Social and Community Participation, which is also a core support. These trips are charged at an agreed hourly rate, which includes the total time your support worker attends the outing and can also cover the time it takes your support worker to travel to and from your residence.

How can Freedomling Support Services help?

Your Freedomlink Support Service team will support you every step of the way and might assist with:

  • Picking you up for community appointments and activities (including companionship while you are out if that’s your reference) and then drive you home.

  • Accompanying you on public transport and help you navigate the system.

We know that consistency is important. Your transport can be booked in advance on a regular basis (e.g A weekly trip to the shop) So that you have a peace of mind and a friendly reliable face to help you around.

Don't miss out on the opportunities NDIS can provide. Apply now to get the support you need for a more fulfilling life.
